There is a proud community of small businesses at our school run by our fellow Neuwirth students. Whether it’s accessories, clothing, or even snacks, our 2026 students have been able to get creative when it comes to their work. With this article, we hope to get these students more recognition if you don’t already know them.

First off let's start with Arely Combonchi (11). She's in cross country as well in the environmental club but her business mainly focuses on pin making, she's able to create anything you might want, whether it could be from your favorite character or a song from your favorite band, Arely’s got you. Interview:

Why did you choose this business?

I chose to start this business because I wanted

students to be able to express their personality,

especially since our school is really strict on

what we wear.

Did you receive help from family/friends?

Yes, I received help from my dad - He helped

I purchased the machine and printed things out from

his printer.

How are sales currently?

Sales are not the best right now, but I do get them here

and there, I mainly start to get sales if I get an order

and post it online.

Do you believe in pursuing this after graduating?

Yes, I hope to have this as a side hustle to help pay for

little things during college.

Moving on we have Aneli Lopez (11), whose business focuses on rose bouquets that are created by ribbon, allowing her to create these roses in any color the buyer would like. She can add additional details on these bouquets like mini crowns, butterflies, and even images, allowing her to make these bouquets unique and special.

Unlike flower bouquets, which only last a short time, these custom ribbon bouquets are long-lasting and cost-effective. Aneli also focuses on seasonal business, making bouquets for occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother’s Day, and even birthdays. (Hit her up @eternalflowersby.ag)

How are sales currently?

Sales right now are low since we stopped making flowers due to school.

Do you plan on pursuing this after graduating?

No, I feel like it was a short-term thing, it isn’t planned for like a forever thing.

Lastly, Anthony Gamez has opened his own business designing clothes. Anthony’s brand “The Colony” includes a variety of different colors, prints, and is available in all sizes. Although his business just started not too long ago, Anthony has many options to choose from and you can also request a custom design made to your preference. (@thecolony.la
